Hi all!
I have an old version of CHDK (ver.1-1-0-2053) installed on the SD menory of my Canon S5IS and all worked ok.
Now I want to upgrade to the last version 1.6.1
May I simply copy the content of s5is-101a-1.6.1-6261-full.zip to the existent CHDK folder on my SD memory?
Thank you!

Yes you can, but if you use an SD card with two partitions, you have to do it on both partitions.

The easy way is to work with a Linux PC, in order to see both partitions CHDK_FAT16 and CHDK_FAT32.
  • Unlock the SD card
  • Copy to the whole content of the zip file: both CHDK folder and other files to partition CHDK_FAT32.
  • Copy DISKBOOT.BIN to partition CHDK_FAT16.
  • Lock the SD card.
