Some issues with Canon A640

First of all hi to all,and thanks for the nice forums !
I recently bought a second hand powershot a640 in great condition,and ofc tried out the CHDK update.All options seemed to fork just fine,until I tried the bracketing/exp-bracketing scripts from this page,they seemed to work,but seems I cannot set 'em right.All I want is to take 3 pictures with -1 0 +2 EV,but instead I the camera takes either 5 or 7 snaps :( Well after all this is not much of a problem to me at this stage,as I still don't rly know how to merge the final photos into a HDR image,so I can live with it.Ofc,if u know any better scripts that may work fine with this cam,please suggest 'em.The other problem is with the display rotation.As you all know,the A640 has a rotative display,which allows you to take self portraits.Here is the problem,when I fully rotate the display some CHDK message appears and fades away rly fast as the display turns into bright white color.When I unloaded the CHDK the issue was gone  ??? After all,seems I am using the GrAnd's Original Build,and here comes my last question..is it the best,or at least good choice ? All I want is to have access to more stable and easy scripts .
Thank you for reading.I suppose not all of you would catch what I rly mean,so ask,I'll try to explain.  ::)

p/s I heard that there is a scripts which detects motion and allows you to do some nice lightening shots,is this possible,which build supports this ?

dimitrios, there are MANY scripts for motion detection (MD), use the search and look for "MD", "Lightning" and you'll get many hits - and YES, it's possible, it's absolutely fantastic & here in the forum you'll find many pictures taken with those scripts  :D

This MD is supported on all builds, the latest Allbest build you'll find here (Caution - automatic build / sometimes beta state - but the ultra-latest "official" build...)

...a great manual you'll find here

Thank you guys.Helped me a lot indeed ! I am now happily using the All best release.I also installed a MD fast burst script - all working fine.My next question might sound a bit stupid...but how do I unload the script?It's because I loaded it and now I don't have any default script to load.How u do this,and where can I find a default script suitable for the Allbest.Will the one named "default" in thispage work with Allbest ? Thanks again :)

No unload - leave ALT mode -> see this Post... or this one...
The default.bas you mentioned isn't a good choice (it takes some shots), you can use something like this:
Code: [Select]
rem Simple script, does nothing...
@title Default script
sleep 1000
print "Default script"
end

Exactly - put always an empty line at the end of a script file... copy it in /CHDK/scripts.
