In the event a CHDK doesn't have a PS.FIR file (such as SDM-CHDK's build for the SD870 IS), is there any way to circumvent making a card bootable to run CHDK, because EyeFi cards cannot be locked?  I am looking to take time-lapse photographs of plants using CHDK and have the images transferred directly to a server for image analysis if that's at all possible.

We had exactly the same topic already,please search for eyefi.imo you will have to hardware hack the card to enable the lock.
