After testing ND filter state in the SD870 in a few different ways and comparing it to the functional ND filter menu options and scripting in an Ixus55, it has been determined that the ND filter state is not working in the SD870.  It's not working in either the menu or in scripts. 

If I can provide any assistance in helping to figure out why it's not working, please let me know.
