Since firmware 100H is already dumped, you have 2 options:

- get involved in the port

- wait

For your reference, here's some links:

G9 - 100H dump is here: drop.io   chdkdumps

G9 porting thread: G9 porting progress

I have a Canon SD880 with Digic IV.  Has there been any CHDK releases as of yet for the Canon Digic IV that might work with the SD880?  Can I do anything do help speed up the process since I already own a the Canon SD880.  I'm not a coder but have 10 years experience in IT helpdesk and if there is anything for me to do like dump info from my camera I am very good with following instructions.

Thanks...and I really like CHDK when I had my older SD870 from last year and really miss it now.

Cheers, John

There is no port for this version yet. It may or may not be ported at sometime in the future.
Don't forget what the H stands for.

im an sx1 user who is unfortunate enough to have the 2.01a version firmware. Is there a CHDK available for this? Or, alternately, is there a way to turn back my firmware to, say, 2.00h and then install the hack? Are there risks involved in this, if it is possible?

Thanks!

No, not yet, maybe some day...

No, that's not possible.
The only way to change the camera's firmware is to do it with an official Canon fw update, but until now there's no Update for the 2.xx version published.

It's been a while since I've been here.  Came back to check for new A650 IS stable build.

But I see that the stable build is still the same old allbest-a650-100d-50.zip.

Yet I also see that there are advancing beta's (a650-100d-0.9.8-835-full.zip).

Is there any point in time when the stable version will be updated with new code?
A650 IS w/waterproof housing, SanDisk Extreme III 2GB card

There is only the autobuilds at the moment. There may be a "stable" release in the future, but it will probably just be a result of arbitrarily declaring one of the current autobuilds to be stable.

The current trunk should generally be good enough for day to day use.

@jojo99

Why not just try the autobuilds ? I think you will find they are every bit as stable as your allbest,
especially for 'older' cams; newly ported cams are only added to the Autobuilds when they are
reasonably stable and feature-complete, and are usually tagged BETA until devs and users
agree that the tag can be removed.
Ever since the various CHDK branches were 'unified' no CHDK branches have been updated - and that's
more than 300 versions ago - because of the 'unification' almost all users use the same CHDK,
which increases feedback and chances of finding any bugs left.
Check the User Guide linked in my sig for an idea of what you can expect of recent CHDK feature-wise  :D

cheers,

wim
