Actually, the G9 still doesn't have it. See include/camera.h

edit neither does ixusizoom_sd30. All others appear to have it.
Ahhh, yes, mixed it up with the following a450 section when i've looked over camera.h (G9 section is very short) ...thx for the update :)

@mosleyh:
Sorry for the inconvenience !
I've added it to the CHDK Bugtracker as feature request #302 for you.

I have both G9 and IXus izoom (sd30). Are the changes needed simply edits (I can do) or do some parameters need to be got from somewhere (where)? G9 has decent Canon RAW, BTW

As a matter of interest, why would you include CHDK RAW on cameras that have Canon RAW ?

With SDM, I do not include both.

Thank you for your interest. Having DNG on both Ixus iZoom and G9 would likely mean that I could work with one piece of software, that recognises DNG format RAW. At present, I invariably have to use different apps to do PP on Canon RAW, CHDK RAW and my nifty Samsung EX1 has its own RAW format too. Short answer- commonality, but I agree that Canon RAW is perfecto on my G9.
PS will you produce SDM for the Ixus iZoom or Ixus 95, or advise me how to compile from source?
PPS on my G9_100i, SDM 1.83 runs like a champion. Because I prefer an efficient (fat32, 1024b clusters) use of disk space on my memory card, I encoded the SDM 1.83 diskboot.bin with the fi2enc tool, allowing me to do manual start up of SDM. Job done!
PPPS Thx for G9_100d 1.84

I would also like to see support for DNG for the G9. In my case I want to be able to use the badpixel utility for my JPEGs and have correction for the same non-mapped hot pixels in my RAW files. If I use Canon RAW then I don't think I can get that.

I believe you don't need to have CHDK RAW or CHDK DNG output enabled for CHDK bad pixel correction to have effect on Canon JPEG output. As for non-mapped hot pixel interpolation for Canon RAW, one should be able to do that outside the camera since Canon RAW is...well, RAW. I don't know if a toolchain exists for this, though.

Doesn't work. Without CHDK RAW enabled the badpixel file I have onboard does not get applied to the JPEG files. I just tried it by taking another darkframe image of the same type I used to create the badpixel file. It did not correct the hot pixel locations that are in the correction file.

Have you verified that they are patched with raw enabled ? Looking at the code, the behavior you describe appears to be impossible. The patch_bad_pixel is called outside of the part that does raw saving. If that code isn't being hit, then bracketing and some other stuff would also be completely broken with raw disabled. This is generic to all cameras, so very unlikely it would go unnoticed.

The DNG badpixel patching will only happen if DNG is enabled, but as I explained before that only patches pixels the camera already knows are bad, so really makes no difference to the jpeg.
Don't forget what the H stands for.
