Hi all
I've been following CHDK for a couple of months now, absolutely blown away by the features and progress that you guys are making.  So much so that CHDK has become one of my main influences in my search for a new camera :) (have an trusty old minolta A1 that's starting to show it's age).

Noticed today that the wiki for the Ixus960IS has been updated with "firmware available"

But.. there doesn't seem to be any news about it anywhere on this forum or dpreview, nor have I seen any sneaky firmwares for it uploaded anywhere.

Does anyone know anything about this?

I would like to know, too, why this has been written, as i'm verry surprised about that.
As i know, still noone has released a chdk-firmware for this model.... maybe again confusion about the name 960!?

if anyone knows better than us, please don't let us die stupid :)

i need this bit of software for my cam!!! please!!! :)

newest card-tricks:
zSHARE - cardtricks134.exe

But the firmware does'nt work for me, the cam does'nt start up at all with card as fat 16, bootable and with writeprotection... the screen just stays black.
This keeps until i take off the battery and put it back again, then the cam boots again, without writeprotection or a "clean" card, but not with chdk...
any recommentions?

as i even saw, the chdk is for firmware 1.00c, but i have 1.00d and allready released the firmwaredump, is it easily possible to make it working also for 1.00d?

edit:
sorry again i'm wrong, the chdk for 960is i cant even find, i just saw the 950port... i was wrong, so where's the 960is port? or might the information in the wiki be wrong?

Sounds likely (SD950!=Ixus950 confusion).
Is anyone able to roll back the wiki so it's not misleading?

Also is anyone actively working on the Ixus960/SD950 port?  If so can I be of any assistance?

Hi all, the new release of StereoData Maker v.1.71 has sd950IS support. I was able to shoot raw with that build. My main interest in chdk was for the raw support. Unfortunately I wasn't able to convert my sd950 raw file on dng4ps-2 as of yet. I am new to the chdk. So I guess the software to convert sd950 raw file will come later?

Great news im thinking of upgrading my Ixus 700 (SD500) to a new model. IXUS950 (SD850) or IXUS960 (SD950)
I hope allbest or better yet Jucifers CHDK version will support it too soon.

About raw support for the Ixus 960 (SD950) i'll guess you have to wait for DNG4PS-2 too support your camera. Maybe you can use the IXUS950 (SD850) settings while you wait ?

No luck on converting raw to dng using sd850 setting with dng4ps-2. When open with Adobe Camera Raw, the resulting dng display only color bars. One thing I noticed is that the raw file from the 12MP sd950 camera is 10342400 bytes. Which is a lot small than the 15636240 bytes raw file from the 12MP A650 camera. My guess is the firmware code for writing raw is not fully working yet. So you might want to hold off on upgrading to SD950. You don't know when allbest will start supporting it or even after supporting it when all the features will be working.

finaly there IS a chdk port for ixus 960is 950sd
and it's a great port i think,
just give it a try:

well, basically jucifer just wrote that ;)
anyhow, what do you mean, "how they did manage the port"?
the ixus960 port was in SDM (don't know for how long), and the other ports, what do you mean? well anyway, we just put them together, we didnt create them ;)
