Hi Folks,

I've recently installed CHDK allbest #50 and #51 (build 411) on my sd870.  In neither of them can i find the video settings menu, nor the DOF calculator.  Any ideas?

thanks,
allie

Welcome allie,

the video settings are not implementet, yet.
DOF calculator: It's in the CHDK menu here:
OSD parameters - DOF Calculator-> - Show DOF Calculator ([In Misc]/[Don't]/[Separat])
(You'll see it while half-pressing the shutter)

Thanks, fe50.  Is there someplace I can keep up to date with CHDK developments, esp for the sd870?  I assume it's in the CHDK releases forum.  It seems difficult to figure out what features are implemented in which cameras.  I found the sd870 functionality pdf, which shows a bunch of the functionality - not sure about all.  Also found the Users Guide, which is very helpful.

Anyways - thanks again.  Looking forward to using CHDK!

Hi allie,
the development runs fast, especially for the DryOS-based cameras like the SD870, so the documentation isn't always up to date.
I try to update the wiki with new informations for my SD870 & SD400, Here you can find some hints, too...

Another way: On the Autobuild site you can click the revision link in the upper right corner (e.g. #411) to look to the sources changeset.
The (white) header lines my be interresting for you, have a look to/for the camera model you want informations about...with "Previous Changeset" (red, upper right corner) you can skim through the sources changeset timeline...ok, not the best for newbies, but perhaps it will be helpfull  ;)
