sd870 touch key annoyances

sd870 touch key annoyances

I turned off the touch key function, but the sd870 still highlights certain icons in green when it detects pressure on the wheel, and thereby turns off the CHDK menu.  Just wanted to see if I was missing a setting somewhere which would fix this, or perhaps it's on the development list...

Turning _on_ "touch icons" (or whatever it's called) results in the large wheel being displayed, but it doesn't clear the entire menu. It's annoying, but less annoying than the alternative...

gotcha - thanks.  is it possible to kill the touch-key altogether, or (even better) to keep it from erasing the menu, via CHDK programming?  that is, could CHDK have the ability to do that, or is it too "deep" in the canon firmware to mess with it?

I've this behaviour fixed on my ixus65 port. You may ask the person who is working on your model to port the fix out of ixus65 model's code.
