Is the SD1000 a good choice for use with CHDK?

Sorry if this has been asked before.  I did a search for all topics including "SD1000" and looked through them, but didn't see anything.

Reason I ask, is that there is one on clearance at my locak Kmart and the price is nice.  I also like the look and feel of this camera compared to other compatible Canons.

Is the SD1000 a good choice for use with CHDK?  I'd like to get as much function out of it as possible.

Thanks,
Dan

Yes it's a good choice, but I cannot tell if it is the best choice.

Almost everything is working. I haven't checked usb remote, and I'm not sure it is/will be possible to shot still pictures during video recording. There is no real diaphragm to change aperture, just a Neutral Density filter to simulate aperture reduction. It doesn't seem to be the faster one for motion detection, but it manages to catch some lightning strikes (though I miss a lot of them too).

Apart from that it's just happiness :-).

SD1000 works well with CHDK and also with SDM:

StereoData Maker

Thanks Guys!

I went ahead and picked it up yesterday, along with a 4G card and an extra battery.

Now to dive into the manual!
