So i have some intervalometer scripts on my card and have gotten them to work.  It will take pics every four seconds or so or quicker with what ever i need.  My question is:  Is this how you do timelapse with the intervalometer script and how long of time should be between shots.  Also then how do i make it into a video what program?  Or am i missing something?

Once you have your pictures every n seconds, you can use VirtualDub (Windows) or AviDemux (Linux & Windows), you open the pictures (just open the first one, all the sequence will be loaded), you set the frame rate (eg 15fps), set the video encoding (eg xvid or h264), and you save...
For how long between shots, it completely depends on what you want to do, it can go from one second to one day (hum, maybe don't use a script for one day ;-) ). Only the result you want can drive you (if you're not sure you can take more pictures, and keep one every two, or one every three, ...)

And shoot pictures @ size 640x480 ..... if you didn't know.   ;)

I started with full size and wondered why they wouldn't load!  ::)

Nooooob!

I like timelapses at 1024x768 or 800x600 too ;-) (I shot at 1600x1200)

how long of time should be between shots.

It wildly depends on the subject, and the speed you want to achieve.
for example:
clouds: 4-10s
stars: 20-65 sec
flower: 1-4 min

Oh no! I'm not an expert, that's just what I do, but my built-in timelapse mode works only at 640x480 so that's not stupid :-p.
Moreover YOU raised the important issue of picture size, that I had completely forgotten about in my post, so thank YOU and don't quit :-)

BTW, @blaskos, you can use a video filter in VirtualDub or AviDemux to resize the pictures.

You're welcome.
Could you please tell which software? It may interest some people some day ;-)
