First, to introduce myself, I have G9 and I am waiting and hoping for CHDK.

I have one idea:

How about being able to set parameter to limit amount of blown pixels on a shot?
Normaly when I shoot with non M-mode (or press * to lock AE in M-mode), the camera estimates exposure some how but usually when there are high contrast  objects, they are blown.
My idea would be to implement parameter, which could limit the number of blown pixels in %.
For example when I set this parameter=0.1%, I can be sure it will be correctly exposed highlights.

There are many things to be detailed in this request, can be also discussion, but first pls tell if that is technically possible
