Greeting,

Having trouble with my G7 and getting the CHDK firmware to load. I get as far as the new firmware prompt which I answer yes to but then the camera locks up.

Any ideas?

Hello and welcome in the forum, willman !

(Probably) you are using the wrong CHDK, there are versions for the G7 with Canon firmware version 1.00e, 1.00g, 1.00i and 1.00j.

So
- first check your firmware version: CHDK_for_Dummies#Getting_the_Firmware_Version_of_a_Canon_P.26S_camera
- download the CHDK for your cam
- install it CHDK_for_Dummies#Let's_put_the_CHDK_in_the_card
