I have the S5IS with allbest 50 build on my camera. Can someone give me an easy to understand answer
as to how to use the Exiftool in combination with the auto CHDK to exif v1.2 software? I can't seem to get the actual
readings for shutter, speed etc. .
I hope I haven't overlooked it on this site, if I have please point me in the right direction.
 Thank you, carp

Place the Exiftool and the Auto CHDK to EXIF v1.2 in the same folder. Rename the exiftool file to exiftool.exe since AutoCHDK will look for the file with that name. Launch Auto CHDK to EXIF v1.2, Uncheck option "Unchecked = ..."?and check option "Overwrite Original" if needed. Select target file/directory, then click "Go read it!".

For read only Exif info, I think ExifTool GUI for Windows (ExifTool GUI) is much better.

dazzy,
Thanks for the reply. Very concise and understandable. Does your ExifTool GUI read the actual CHDK speeds
versus the maker notes from Canon?
Thank you again for the information. carp
