You may also copy or move images from the card to the PC.
Bug-fixes for precision-synch, direct-mode shooting and flash provided for all cameras.

New easily-readable,large-font menus and over 50, mainly large-font, on-screen displays and Help pages, easily browsed with the multicontroller left/right keys in <ALT> mode.
IXUS 960IS/SD950IS/ IXY2000 support.
Mute sound during movie zooming (Ewavr).
Custom-timer bracketing now includes a 'synch-mode' option to ensure each image-pair is precision synchronised.
With flash OFF, user-entered synch-delay values are no longer reset to zero.

Thanks to 'TimeMachine' for the IXUS960 port.

(Platform and Loader code will be stripped of SDM dependencies and forwarded to EWAVR for adding to trunk).

Be sure to read the updated 'Getting Started'and 'Image and Video Capture' information on the website.

Hello Microfunguy,

congratulations, a nice package !

On the SDM Homepage you have a hint in "Does USB-remote work on all supported cameras ?":

"The ixus50/SD400 and ixus65/SD630 have not yet been tested."

Does that mean that there is a SDM 1.71 also for the SD400 and only the download link is missing ?

Damn, you have caught me out   :)

When I wrote that, the SD400 was going to be included.

While compiling all 45 builds (!) I had a problem with the two SD400 builds.

I wanted to get SDM 1.71 released (and I was getting fed-up !) so I removed it from the download links.

I will include that in the next build but I will still not know if the precision-synch will work as the keyboard code is quite different to other cameras and will require some pages.

By any chance, does the ND filter state work for the SD870 in the new release?  I'm dying for this to be implemented.....

It has not changed from the previous release.

I know, you have had a long wait   ;)

I will add it to the 'To do' list.

When you press the shutter button, the shooting-sequence code checks if ND filter override is required and if so calls the Canon firmware function with the appropriate parameters.

Thats all  ........

Difficult to see what the problem can be.

Thanks for considering it, David.  If I can do any tests with my camera that will help you pinpoint why the ND filter settings are not working, please let me know.

hello David, would you consider releasing the sources again?

can i use the SDMINSTE.EXE utility to dual-partition a 16GB SD card for a SD-1000?  i don't want to use SDM, i just want a ability to run scripts on my camera with CHDK autoboot.  according to this thread, SD-1000 doesn't recognize equal partitions, but according to SDM features, it can.  ???

in other words I made 2 partitions on card already (manually), and got SD-1000 to autoboot, but it writes image only to 1st tiny partition, and doesn't see the big 2nd partition.  does SDMINSTE do something special to make camera able to see both partitions?  if so, can i take advantage of that using Allbest or whatever, i.e. without using SDM?

The best thing would be to just try it and see if it works for you.  8)
