Hello

I'm totally newbie in here, and I just installed SDM-CHDK. I'm very happy now because I have now battery meter.

But I wonder, how I set clock to display on screen? I can see clock in OSD layout editor, but it not show on screen on normal mode. There is no Clock -settings either, so I guess this is one of features that is not supported on my camera?

Anyway, I'm so happy with that battery meter :)

question: why did you install SDM (STEREO DATA  MAKER) when all you needed was the batterymeter? SDM is a "specialized" flavor of CHDK. It lacks a lot of things the so called "allbest" has (on the other hand it has a lot of features allbest does not have, especially the stereo features).
we can't give support for SDM here, you would need to visit a special yahoo group that was created by the coder of SDM. i dont know if there are any clock options. in the "normal" chdk there definitly you have several clock options, including showing the seconds etc.

I did not found any other build to my IXUS 850 IS :) Is there better build for my model?

Edit: Sorry, I found it. Sorry for inconvenience.

But I wonder, how I set clock to display on screen?

Glad you like the large battery-meter display that is one of SDM's large-character pages.

In ALT mode, press the right button to browse over 50 displays.

One of the first has a clock (in large characters) at the top.

Simply exit ALT mode to make the clock live.

It displays hours, minutes and seconds in 24hour format.

To toggle display on/off, simply half-press shutter and right button.

You may find this far easier to read than the 'official' build.

The 'official' build only has a tiny battery meter.

Explore the other 50+ pages !

'Lot' is slightly exaggerated  .. what useful features did you have in mind ?
