problem with a720 IS shutter/scripts

I am attempting to use a bracketing script to take pictures for HDR.  My problem is that it takes one picture, then stays at review until i press the shutter button, and thus interupting the script.
I think this has to do with...
When i take a picture and hold down the shutter button, it displays the picture i just took until i let off of the button.
I think the script is holding down the shutter button and the camera will not let it take any more pictures.

If anyone knows what i am talking about, or better yet has a solution, please let me know :)

Hey Sideo,

I guess the first thing to do would maybe be turning off the automatic review: press 'menu' (NOT in ALT mode), scroll down to 'Review' and set this to off. (If you've already tried that, or I'm stating the obvious, my apologies! Just covering all bases... :))

If that doesn't help, check out http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/UBASIC/Scripts:_Make_ANY_Single-Shot_Intervalometer_into_an_HDR-Bracketing_Script for more info on what you are trying to do... You can use any of the intervalometer scripts from the Scripts page - this was the very first thing I did when I bought an A720 a week ago, and it worked fine for me.

Hope this helps!!

Don't you need to set Continuous drive mode before starting the script?

Step 1 of the link posted above describes the method of using the camera's built-in self-timer mode to automatically take a user-defined number of photos when the shutter button is pressed only once. Come to think of it, using continuous mode & holding the shutter button down (if that's what you're doing, Sideo?) could be exactly what's causing the problems in the first place.

Going to bed now, will check in tomorrow morning!

Hi guys, thanks for the quick replies.

I do have the review auto review turned off.

I tried to turn on the build in self-timer but i cannot for the life of me find it in the menu. mabye it only shows up if i am in the right mode? And speaking of modes, I do not know what continous drive mode is or how to get there.

Sorry for the noob questions. I will keep reading the FAQ and wiki while im waiting for replies and hopefully will learn more. thanks.
