When I woke up today, I realized something, CHDK is missing something important!

A MASCOT!
[snip]

Do you remember how it was difficult to inspire and encourage people to draw a logo for CHDK? ;)

[offtopic]
The another meaning of MASCOT I've found in a dictionary (I have to look in the dictionary often, especially after your post - too many new non-technical words :)):

MASCOT -- Modular Approach to Software Construction, Operation and Test.

Do we miss this in CHDK as well?  :D

what about mice? I mean:
cameleon: no suse linux fan
dragonfly: not sure where, but i think that, too, already exists
ant: also possible
raccon: also possible, my favourite after mice

my first idea: mouse comes out of the lens, didn't try it so far, but searched my mice photos: attachment
(yes, wrong white balance)

Very cool . . . but I hope all the creatures in Spore don't end up being that freakish

In French, we have an expression we say when photographing a group of people, to warn them: "le petit oiseau va sortir !" (the little bird will come out!). So a bird coming out from a lens could be an idea, but if there is no similar reference in English it's less funny.

Anyway, your worm is very cool GrAnd!

I'd never thought about it before, but we do have a similar phrase in English; 'Watch the birdie!' There's an explanation of the origins of the phrase here

There is the same phrase in Russian (Look!. The birdy is going to fly out). To attract attention of children to camera lenses, I think.
