Hej,
I think it would be nice to have such sub-forum to gather the non-firmware stuff that users here found themselves or share links and ideas.
That would be for stuff like opening the cam to remove IR filter, fix something yourself, adapt a lens/filter. There are already some interesting stuff here and there but hard to track throughout the whole forum.

I know this is not directly linked with CHDK, but we have a nice community here of people who like to experiment with their cams so I think it would fit here.

uhm, thats exactly what we have the General Chat forum for. imho. what would you call the new subforum?

Well, if there's no "special forum" for DIY then at least there should be a sticky post with links to all the DIY posts, that would be very helpfull for beginners (like me :P)
