A720 Problem with manual focus in <ALT> mode

Hi all, I have a problem with manual focus when I'm executing a script (remote usb) and in general when I'm in <alt> mode.
Infact after the manual focusing and going in the <alt> mode and touching the joystick -up- the camera lost the focus setting and there is no way to return on the previous good setting despite the -Override subject distance- is setting -OFF-.
I have tried with return in allbest 50 release but this problem remain, exist some solution at this problem ?.

MF enabled + alt mode + pressing up sets the SD override to infinity. Thats a shortcut, and its documented somewhere.

I wonder why you are pressing up in alt mode, as it has no function other than set SD to infinity, which you apparently dont want?

Many thanks for the excellents replies, I hope that in a future we can have the remote usb shooting directly without the script, but in any case CHDK remain great.

in the the collaborative CHDK build branch ("The Juciphox build", experimental / beta version, read the description) there's already the "scriptless remote support" for many cameras...
