David, here is what I have so far...
I like the Ricoh switch you linked though I am not looking to buy another switch. I would like to use the one I am currently trying to configure. I would like to know how on the Ricoh they got a 1.5 AAA to operate at 5v pulsing. I would then like to know how to solder the battery into the switch and how to wire the 3.5mm female jack onto the other end of a 4 pin USB mini B cable. Just the wiring schematics, I will work out the housing aspect of the battery to the switch.
I have access to a button battery holder that holds 3 LR41's rated at 1.5v each, or a 3 AAA battery housing from a remote control car, or perhaps a 9v? I will be connecting that to a 3.5mm extension with an 2.5mm to 3.5mm adapter. The extension will hook into a USB mini B cable with a 3.5mm female end on the other end to plug in the 10' 3.5mm extension cable.
I am a stay at home dad with my 8 month old boy, which as you can imagine, makes it somewhat difficult to concentrate or focus for any length of time. So help with this matter would be VERY appreciated.
Thank you,
Scott
If this post gets help I would like to send back the karma somehow...
