This new a570 test build is majorly broken.

The USB script still doesn't seem to work, but what's even worse, now all keypresses in alt mode execute not only CHDK's functions, but also the camera's own functions.

For example, if I press ALT and then MENU, I get the CHDK menu but the camera also enters it's own menu at the same time. And if I then press "arrow down" to navigate CHDK's menu, parts of the camera's own menu will be redrawn over the CHDK menu since the camera browses it's own menu as well.

OK, I have made a new build 19 (still one more option remaining in case of trouble...).
fudgey, really appreciate your help in testing the builds.

Success  :D

Obviously I didn't test the build very thoroughly, but I can confirm the USB shutter test script works on my A570IS using your test build 19.

Alt mode seems all good as well again  :)

Thanks fingalo!

Great work on the A570is USB remote shutter trigger.  This will help alot with my application (KAP).

Looking forward to testing this out (when I get some wind!).

A few checkpoints:
- Do you have remote enabled (in script load menu)?
- Are you running the remote script?
570 1.01a is reported to work OK with remote, from other user.

Dear Fingalo,
I can not find any menu item to enable the USB in allbest-a570-101a-16. Although in the language list there is a translation for this item.
Where do I have to look ?

In test build 19 for A570IS 1.00e the "Enable remote (USB)->" option is in the Script menu, below "Script Autostart" and above the Current script label.

I found it. In release :allbest-a570-101a-16 I can not find the menu : remote enable,
but release :allbest cln-a570-101a-20 contains this item. Selecting it resulted in a working remote control!
Many thanks!
