    Install CHDK on SD-Card
ALLWAYS BACKUP FILES ON YOUR SD-CARD BEFORE USING CHDK !!! (copy photos and chdk config for example)
Use CardTricks or look at WIKI to prepare your SD-Card (backup your files before do this !!!) and copy the chdk firmware files to SD-Card (to avoid trouble use SD-Card with max. 2GB size due limitation of FAT16 filesystem normaly used for CHDK or maybe use multiple partitons...).

    CHDK RAW images
There is a subforum about RAW: Read CHDK forum > Using CHDK > RAW Shooting and Processing

Some (windows) Software which supports canon raw format:
DNG4PS-2 (converts canon raw to dng), Raw Therapee, UFRaw, XnView, Google Picasa, Adobe Photoshop with RAW Plugin, Canon Camera Software, ...

    Works fine for me!

Not wanting to rush you, any idea how long this is likely to take to get a working port? I've got a weather balloon project planned and wondering if I should buy another camera which is already supported.

Has anyone ever noticed that by holding in the set button it brings up a crazy clock using rotating cubes?

A very good question, i would like to know by myself... But if you are in a hurry, than i suggest look for an alread ported AND testet model! I working hard on it at the moment, but it a matter of find and test the correct memory address, which is at some point try and error...

Yes, really weird clock, pretty useless but a nice gimmick...

ADD: perhaps, i can help with testing. if there is already done some kind of decent working version, i would like to try it at my own risk ;)

i'm still unable to get the camera to boot with chdk...
there's still much to learn about chdk, assembler, arm and other things...
maybe it's just a small mistake... i'm working on it...
besides this testers are allways welcome!!!
    What firmware version you got?

gar! weve dropped to the second page!
    ? ??? ?

I'll post here ASAP if i get chdk booting!
