OK, tried it and after reformatting in FAT16 and making the card bootable everything seems to work fine so far, at least what i can tell from playing with it for an hour or so.

One thing that makes it unhandy though is the display of the touchplate on the right of the screen since it overdraws the menu and leaves a blank spot after disapearing. this might as well be a configration problem since i havent gone through all the menus so far.

I think what you mean is the jogdail / feather / touchwheel overlay display which "overdraws" the chdk menu... You have to disable it in canon menu, at least as long as i find a proper way to control it from chdk...

DOF Table calculation is done in chdk core (it's not platform/camera dependend).
you can find it in core/gui_osd.c line 638 gui_osd_calc_dof() . maybe it's a bug, but i'm unable judge its...

A610 & G7 (they have the same image resolution like SD900)

OK, Jogdial thingi worked fine.
Next problem for me is, that when RAW is activated and also stored on the sd-card no app seems to be capable of reading them.
I didnt change any settings away from defaul except choosing to store them in the same dir as the jpgs.
tried the zoom util as well as irfanview with the apporiate plug-in, as well as the canon digital photo professional app.
maybe again i am missing somethin.
but after all most of the stuff seems to work very well:
zebra, histogram, batterystatus, very nice....

Raw Therapee is a free download and it works on CHDK RAW worked with all my shots on the 900 using the latest download Beta v20

few things pixeldoc, when bracketing TV +/- seems to work, + acts like a - bracketing and - acts like a + bracket.

also, setting of
tv: 1/1250
ndfilter: out
SD: 65435
Iso: 40

shot at a neat focal plane forces the camera into a restart every time i try it

I shot at exactly the same settings and camera did not reset, shot worked ??? must be somthing else set, tried with and without RAW

I did get the same results using bracketing - increased exposure + reduced exposure

try with those settings but shooting at something withing 4oo mm of camera

I tried several shots with actual SD of 1600mm, 400mm and 50mm, no reset
