Sorry guys it was the G7 I had to rename to get dng4ps-2 to work,  by bad.  DNG works on my SD990 and that really makes things easier.  It would be nice to get the port finished and into the autobuild but I am not a programmer.  The 900 is a great little camera

this link shows a registry change to let you view DNG files as thumbnails http://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/post-processing-printing-software-darkroom/992-displaying-dng-thumbnails-windows-xp.html
I take no responsibility for messing up you registry but it worked for me - in XP SP3

just want to let you know i'm still with you.
I didn't do much work on my port in the past... Hopefully this is going to change.
I still need to get around to prepare my source to commit it into trunk... (didn't forgot about that fox).

UPDATE

Beta v22

  • Trunk: #901
  • Version: 0.9.9
  • GCC: 3.4.6

  • fixed source to compile against recent trunk
  • multi partition support still disabled (camera does crash if enabled)

Sorry it took me so long...

If wasted some hours to get back on track to work on chdk:
I had to sorted out huge pile of different source versions.
I had huge problemes with chdk-shell (gcc compiler errors).
I had to created a fresh chdk dev enviroment with clean Windows XP in VMware for gcc_env_for_hdk-3.4.6, disassembler, git and stuff

I've retested only the basic function yet. Please test as many features as possible and report!

Edit: Trunk is #919 actually.

  • CAM_MULTIPART enabled (Multipartition support enabled!!!)
  • CAM_CONSOLE_LOG_ENABLED enabled (chdklog.txt, stdout.txt, romlog.txt)
  • minor improvments

Finally, multipartiton support is fixed!!! I've missed to change one brache near the end of the final return... What a pain...i could slap myself for overlooking this lousy branche address...  >:(

pixeldoc2000 glad to see you back,  just stopped by today and saw the update.  downloaded v23 and the subj dist override is gone,  this was working in the earlier port,  the blue light does not flash on power up, and DNG is not working,  RAW, scripts, shutter override, ND filter,  and remote are working,  I will keep looking at the rest

  • subject distance override is indeed not working because some code changes between chdk trunk version 7xx - 9xx?, l will fix that
  • about the led, beta v23 actually flashes the orange led on startup... i used a different led while working on multi partition support, this is a leftover...
  • DNG support is still broken somehow, i know! I just can't figure out why... actually badpixel.lua script does not finish... I have not tested any other (windows) tool to create badpixel stuff to enable it

Yes, thats my latest timekiller :D.
I've started Canon SD 4000 IS / IXUS 300 HS / IXY 30S 1.00d Porting two days ago, without even finish the first one yet...  ::)
Sadly it use dryos and not vxworks as sd900.

I did try a file with just 0000 called it badpixel.bin and the badpixel.bin from my SD990,  the 990 file did load but the DNG file created was corrupt (colored diagonal lines) the notepad created file did not load
