Are there any connectors on the circuit boards which were not connected when you started ?
No, i've check for loose connction.
Also i disassembled and reassembled my SD900 about 3-4 time with the same result.
After that, is was annoyed and damaged a flex cable at the sensor at the next disassemble. I'll try to fix it somehow, but than there is still the mechanical issus with lens...
Sorry to see your camera in that condition ~ Even though I have the SD990 and a DSLR I still use my SD900 often mostly on sailboat races, and get some great images. I moved back to your march 12 2009 build as the manual focus worked and it was stable just no DNG. Hope you get it working again it has a great lens and sensor
Yes, i really liked the picture from my SD900!
Only issus was the missing IS, otherwise it has a good sensor. Under some conditions pictures where far better than SD4000
Manual focus is broken with last beta?
I'll look for SD900 after my SD4000 port is "done"...
