Just want to say *****THANK YOU***** to the developers of this.

I have a lot of Ixus cameras and the Ixus 40 is definetely the best Ixus small series cam for overall lightconditions.Just great to be able to use CHDK with the 40!

can someone please tell me where to download a CHDK Version for the IXUS 40 (Firmware 1.00j) or
if there is any way to update my IXUS 40 to 1.00k?

Based on some code fred55 send me I was able to make CHDK 0.6.2-536 run on my Ixus40 1.00j.

Enclosed find my 1.00j subdir.
Prolly someone can add that to the trunk?

Hello There,
I have a strange problem dng4ps2-0.2.3-beta16 has the optiond for my IXUS40 (100k-0.7.1-548-full) but does not show the filelist of the crw files when i want to convert them - so i am stuck :(
Does anyone have an idea?

hi !

are you by any chance trying to access your raw files over a USB cable via the Canon software ?
you need a card reader to 'see' your CRW's, normally.

I have the CRW files already on my PC ... i just don't see them in the dng4ps2 filelist :(

we have a report in the german forum from a user that his ixus40 (100k) freezes. even after reyalp uploaded the patch from reply #60.
can people with a 100k ixus40 verify this?

what he tells us happening is the following: if raw is disabled, the camera freezes as soon as he is taking a shot. when raw enabled, it records the raw, THEN freezes. so he ends up with a raw file on the sdcard, but no jpg.
the compiled build in #60 seems to work though (but is so yesterday).
hm. need more testers :)
