Thanks for your answer.

Do you mean this file?

zSHARE - ixus1100.0xff81000-0xffb1ffff_led.dump.bz2

It doesnt work atm. It counts down then I click download, than it counts dow and so on... no download!
I uploaded an test file and it works.

I already downloaded both attachments came with this post

SD1100/ixus 80 porting ....

the boot.bin is missing, or should I rename the right firmware version to boot.bin ?

I read through a bunch of manuels yet, it would be nice if you could answer that.

If you can point me to the right files, that would be nice.

@area

that's it (the 2nd link) ... just read the post and follow instructions & links (especially SD1100IS - CHDK Wiki) to learn more ...
if you already did, explain what went wrong
oh, and ... do not rename to 'boot.bin' but to 'diskboot.bin'

wim

edit: forgot to welcome you to the forum ...  ::)

edit2: More useful links? see my signature below
         - just read your reply: no need to give up...
if on Windows, just D/L CardTricks - find card - click 'format' - click 'make bootable' - exit
rename your bin and put  in root of card - put locked card into camera - start it.

I use a 4GB MicroSD with an SD Adapter, works very fine (with original firmware).
Firmware Version 1.01a

I decided to wait for the official autobuild version. Is a date set for a RC /final version?

I don`t give up, its ok  :D it is the cam from my girlfriend and we decide to wait for the final version.
I use Rockbox on a sansa since over a year  (10 min. read/install done!) and try many dev. builds in a month.
But if you ask me, there should be a manual for dev. builds easy to find.
I read and search more than 3 ours, without luck ( Iknow I search on the wrong place, because someweher it is 100% written how it works). The place is unfortunately is not easy to find for "beginners".
I tried what you say hours ago (DL card Trick and make my microSDHC Card bootable, lock the card and place DISKBOOT.BIN
(sorry boot.bin was a typo) to the root of the card. It doesent work.

don't know about release date, but 'feels' like pretty soon - AFAIK it's stable, just a couple of
details might not work. besides - as with any CHDK build i know of -  the worst that can happen
is that it doesn't work and you need to remove batteries to get it to start again.

if you decide to wait anyway this is probably the best place to lurk: CHDK Download - build 0.7.2, revision #552

have fun

wim

LOL crosspost again !

Yeah I already read it in my 3 hours "inspection" and bookmarked it already.
I hope to see the 80/1100 in near future on that side :) .

micro SD sometimes causes trouble - double check if it actually shows as bootable in CT.
another thing - does your SD adapter actually have a write-protect tab and is it ON ?
Both are necessary, no way out (except another card  :D)

wim

edit: new world rec crossposting  :D but no kidding, you should check this out, some
cards just refuse to be made bootable, i know of several microSD's that did that.
if the beta don't boot for you, neither will the release version (on this card)
