Hi folks. I have the same RAW problem as "trurl" described. Is there meanwhile a solution?

I'm new to trying out chdk.  It seems with latest build i can't save raw image after the first shot.  On second shot green light keeps flashing.

After changing  from chdk_sd1100_fdf355c to chdk_sd1100_e3f0eae_svn-r535 i have problems to shoot in RAW-format: the green LED does not stop blinking. Switching to play-modus does not show the picture (but the file is on the card) after shooting again the cam hangs.. (then i have to take out the accu).
Hi... first: great work! Was really longing for the version for the 80IS.
Using it on the 1.05 firmware I'm also experiencing the RAW issue. Green LED doesn't stop,
no jpg written. Only stopped by hard reset (battery drop).

####

Other Question: is there an option to override the flash setting (like in manual mode?) I'd like to switch to digital-macro WITH flash... (and highspeed shutter - shooting some close ups of drops ;) )

thx again
Joei

Joei, what is the advantage from digital-macro-modus? shoot this: ImageShack - Hosting :: bild003ml9.jpg and this ImageShack - Hosting :: bild002fz9.jpg

in manual modus, makro on, flash on and highspeed-shutter

Mh, the chdk video stuff is not implemented. The options etc. are there but should not have any effect.
Yes and no ... we must find out, if these bugs are only in this port or if other cameras with this chdk version got them, too.

chr, i only own the ixus-80 and can not test the chdk-version/raw-modus on others cams; maybe someone else here can check it out?

Hi Turl,

now, with you asking I becom insecure... it seemed to me that I was able to get closer to the object... but I'll check tonight wheter there is adifference to normal macro modus...  but there is no flash override - correct?

Anyone else with the raw-green-led-doesn't-stop-issue?

cheers
Joei

chdk_sd1100_e3f0eae_svn-r535 i have problems to shoot in RAW-format: the green LED does not stop blinking. Switching to play-modus does not show the picture (but the file is on the card) after shooting again the cam hangs.. (then i have to take out the accu).

After testing and playing a while with MDFB-080914.bas the fileystem on the card was corrupt.

So i changed back to chdk_sd1100_fdf355c, no more problems in raw-modus.

In both versions: after recording videos the window with the bitrate does not close. only switching off and on helps.

Firmware 1.01a, 4 GB card

trurl, I have exactly the same problem, but the bad one was my first try. I can't find the old dump, ZShare just keep me doing circles, can you or anybody lead me or attach to the old good working file, please? By the way, CHDK rules! I have worked in the very stable sd1000 ixus 70 and is beatiful, I hope this camera reach that status!

christian, look here: SD1100/ixus 80 porting .... (log in to see the attachments). what problem? raw-bug or corrupt file-system? (maybe my sd-card is not the best and was the reason for this)

but i think except for the raw-bug the new version has considerable advantages.

again many thanks to chr!

Hi there
My 1st post  :D

I got the same problem with my 80IS. Green led blinks, needs hard reset battery drop. Looking forward for developments for this camera.

Another issue:
Has anyone had problems with indoor/tungsten white balance on the CHDK Ixus 80 IS?
I just can't seem to get enough information from the blue channel to balance it properly.

I run Ixus 80 IS with chdk_sd1100_fw_101a_e3f0eae.bin

Thanks  :D

Thanks for the work on this guys.  I'm working on a HALO project:
Space Balloon

It would be nice if I could switch between video and photo mode in a script.  Is that possible?

Hi Joei, you are right; in digital-macromodus the object-distance can be very close. but you can choose manual-modus with flash on and overide the object-distance in the chdk-menu. give object-distance 60 and factor 1mm a try and find the best value with bracketing the distance. bye
