micro SD sometimes causes trouble - double check if it actually shows as bootable in CT.
another thing - does your SD adapter actually have a write-protect tab and is ON ?
Both are necessary, no way out (except another card  :D)

wim

I didn`t check if it is REALLY bootable YET! Maybe thats the prob .. hmmm
The SD Adapter does have a write-protect tab and I try ON and OFF ;)
Maybe I should try it with the 32 mb SD ...pff (why do they sent the cam with such a card? Can`t understand!) tomorrow! But if the brandnew cam (under 24h old) get damaged I get damaged from my girlfriend ;) ;)
I try that later. Maybe the Prog. doesen`t work together with Vista64 bit, so I try it with XP tomorrow if nothing will work (dual boot ;) ).

So far , thx

little chance of that, especially if you wait for release...just properly
readying your card can't hurt at all.
Vista 64 - mmh... would you be interested in test driving a CardTricks64  ?

well... that remains to be seen. CardTricks is done in AutoIT, which can also compile for
64 bits Windows. It uses plenty of 32 bit command line helper files though, i have no idea
if i should modify a lot of that stuff (and how, don't have any 64's running)...

You can download a test version of  Vista64-bit, or try to get a disc. you can test the version 120 days for free without a key.
Put it on a second system partition and make it dual boot, hide your xp partition first.

I took  a look to AutoIT some month ago, but too much time to spend, to get results, so I dropped it.
If you can compile a 64-bit version within 32-bit environment, I will test it.

Hi all,
as there is no bug tracker, I just post it here...
Just found a small "inconvenience". When using bracketing mode (ev) in combination with raw files the camera crashes right after it has taken the second shot and before it has finished saving it.
Just shooting with raw files on the other hand seems to work fine.
There is a message reading "assertion failed, game over". Can anyone confirm this ?
Is there a list of open bugs ?

Can't confirm this. I just made a tv bracketing with raw w/o problems. Also with zoomser.bas shooting raw no problem.

Please run a fsck on your SD card or better reformat the card and try again.

The cam is very sensitive about file system errors!

Also, when reporting errors, always tell us which fw version and in case of a Blue Screen (aka Game Over) save the crashlog via misc-menu/debug/save ROMLOG.txt

Thanks to who ever made this happen!  I just got it loaded.  I do not know how to use many of the functions but for the battery gauge alone it is worth it.  60% and full bars from canon.....what the?

Is there any other way to have it boot other then the auto boot?  my wife uses the camea and i would rather have a way for me to turn it on.

Thanks agian who ever!

just unlock the card before you hand it over to your wife.
