As I said ... I prefer solving problems with logic and not with try and error  8)

101a should work with rev589 from autobuild now.

Indeed, I did a short test and it seems to work now (589).

Thanks a lot!

:) :) Thanks, CHR for fixing that bug.
0.8.1 Works now on my 1.01a version!  I'm excited to try CHDK options on my 1100IS now.

Thanks again to all the other developers.  I will watch for new scripts.
Maybe I can finally get my KAP rig to fire with the USB, and get rid of one servo.

Remote USB Cable:

Just to let you know this model requires more than 3V voltage (i used 4.5V) to take pictures. The camera can also wake up from USB signal. I am not sure of the exact voltage, but a 3V battery will not work.

FW :1.00C
CHDK: 0.7.2

thanks.

...The camera can also wake up from USB signal...
Hmm - maybe you mean the cam detects the USB power signal when already powered on ?

'Wakes up on USB signal' means whether the off-state camera is switching on when a USB signal is detected.
...means that the completely switched off cam self-acting power on when USB power is connected - i think the SD1100 won't do that, would be the first Ixus cam...see CHDK wikia - Camera features.

Can you pls. clarify this, would be very interesting for e.g. long time time-lapse...

I made it with first try now :)

Formatted the card (4GB MicroSD with SD-adapter) with CT 1.42 in FAT mode and made it bootable.
Downloaded the official version ---> http://mighty-hoernsche.de/bins/ixus80_sd1100-101a-0.8.4-594-full.zip

takes 10mins. (with formatting) now ;) .

And ...  it seems to work :)

bad pixels gone:

o  formatted and installed chdk on a 4gb sdhc card with ct 1.42
o  took a dark frame raw pic
o  made a badpixel file using show_bad.exe
o  converted badpixel file to unix format and removed the "= xxx"'s in editpad lite
o  saved as "badpixel" not "badpixel.bin"
o  copied badpixel file to the chdk folder on the card
o  set camera menu item RAW Parameters --> Bad pixel removal to [Averag.]
o  turned Save RAW off

now saving in super fine jpg's with no bad pixels ... very happy :D

yes, I confirm: the ixus 80
- CANNOT power up when USB power is applied (USB wakeup is not available)
- CAN can detect the USB power if it's already on (i.e. USB remote is available)

Hi there,

I tried to get the raw pictures off the camera into aperture and unfortunately it is not supported. I then tried to enable dng export but I get the error that badpixel.bin file is missing. I then tried to execute rawdevelop in order to get that file in place (at least I think that this is the way to go).

So I choose some raw picture off the camera and it asks me then switch the camera to record mode. If I press the shoot button it just starts the default script. So I press the print button to get the camera to shoot mode in order to take a shot. This of course at the same time exits the menus which is not wanted here.

Is there any workaround or other way to get the badpixel.bin file in place?

Thanks for every hint (I should say that I am really new to chdk and not that familar with the menus yet as well).
