Another CHDK RAW tribute!

This could not have been possible without chdk raw.
Two ugly, bad taken useless pictures recovered and stitched together in an interesting 24 megapixel panorama pic.
Images are resized by 50%.

The power of RAW!  I like how you have been able to pull the exposure of the buildings down.  Are you able to drop the exposure down more to show detail in the sky, or has all that info been lost due to the highlight clipping?  If you can get detail in the sky it would be worth getting two independant images exposed; one for the building and one for the sky.

With an image editing app you can merge the sky and the building into one.  Do this on both shots and make a more interesting panorama.

It might be even worth removing the sky and adding a "fake" one.  As long as it looks like it would belong in the scene, it would work!!

Also, I hope this shot has taught you how to expose your shots correctly to save possible errors and work in post prodution.  Make sure you meter your scene while pointing to the sky and then re-arrange your composition down to add more of the building.  You can always boost the exposure up to bring out building detail, but can can't reduce exposure to bring out a sky as well.

Always understand why a shot has turned out the way it has, and you will remember for next time.  Great use of RAW though, I also have saved numerous shots of overexposed skys shooting in RAW!!

Here's a quick go at adding a fake sky, just for laughs!!  Just quick and dirty, but if no one knew....!

ahahahah...very nice sky!!  :D
I tried to recover the sky but as you said all info are lost for good.
Thanks for the suggestions but the photographer wasn't me :D...my girlfriend was (she's not a photographer at all in normal condition...imagine with the sun in front of her too)!
Those are the last pictures I let her take  :D ...but she unconsciously took 2 pictures good for panorama!
Anyway, it was a crazy contrasted picture, impossible to correctly expose the entire picture (sky&building) even shooting in raw and even with spot metering on the building or sky (look the images below for a HDR experiment).
Too much bright area and too much dark area were in the same picture.
Only HDR would have been a nice solution if you did care to save the sky.
