S2 467 / 0.2.31 crash in video mode

S2 467 / 0.2.31 crash in video mode

when I am in video mode the rocker up and down works with increasing/decreasing the bitrate.
Rocker right no function
Rocker left , the screen freezes after a few seconds then the lens retracts and the camera reboots the power and the tally lamp stay on and the camera is back in alt mode.
or reboots normally without alt mode
or just turns off without retracting the lens

Video Mode  Quality
Video Bitrate  1
Video Quality 10

The camera shows a scroll down of a Video Quality 10 overlay
after reducing the bitrate further via the rocker the bitrate is remembered after power off but the dispalay shows still the same scroll down of a Video Quality 10 overlay.

Same behavior in Bitrate mode and in factory original settings.

This is an amazing function you guys implemented there, just wanted you let you know there might be a little snag

about left/right: see here please the collaborative CHDK build
the pause/unpause function is experimental, seems to only work on a few camera models. if it will ever work properly on all cams - i dont know, it is not likely as it requires a lot of time and ASM skills. you can disable it, so you dont accidentially freeze your cam (in the video menu).

about the video quality stuff: cant test it right now as i dont have my cam at hand, will look into it.

you are fast, i just redeited it after posting...
disabled Fast Video Control? no more crashes.
is that why the ? is there?

see i thought the ? could stand for: might not work in all cameras
so if somebody test this function and it does not work in his camera we could make a list of function an cameras it works with.

hm, i couldnt confirm the 2nd bug you described, on my cam the "scroll down" happens only when i shut off the cam without ending recording first.
can you try to reproduce it with exact steps please?
