Need a simple script for HDR

Hello friends

I'm a newbie with a Canon A570IS, just a week with the amazing CHDK installed.

I need a simple script to take 5 or 6 shots in JPG with different EV values
Can anybody post some similar?

Thanx in advance

there is no need of a script:

In the standard canon menu, select "Custom timer" mode (the one that allows you to shoot X images after X seconds). Specify a delay of a few seconds, and the number of shots you wan (for example, 5).

Then, in CHDK menu, go under "extra photo operations" - "bracketing in continuous mode" and set a value for "TV bracketing value" (for example, 2 Ev)

This means that the camera shoots 5 shots, and in the meanwhile CHDK changes the exposure of 2 Ev.

this gives you the effect you want

Hi.  I too was wondering how to go about setting this feature up, but my chdk does not include an "extra photo operations" option.

I'm using a Powershot A610 (Digic II).  Does CHDK include different options for different versions of firmware?  Currently using 1.00e

Thanks...

Sorry, I just found out and realized about the new Allbest script.  Thanks anyways!

There is a need for a script in Continuous Shooting mode because you want to minimize lags between shots when doing any bracketing and Continuous Shooting mode is significantly faster than other modes. Here is script and discussion.

Mmmh... I missed that

I did some test taking photos of a stopwatch with my a570IS.
Continuous shoot takes a photo every (abt) 0.65 seconds
Custom timer takes a photo every (abt) 1.03 seconds

So, there's a significant difference in time, wether you ant to have the simpler approach with slower responses or the slightly more complex and flexible approach with faster shoot time probably depends on the situation, tastes anb (most important) of the camera used (it seems that A570Is and A620 do blink the led between shots in custom timer, while the S3 does not)
