bypassing 1 second maximum shutter in intervelometer scripts? (SD870)

Hi,

I'm using a SD870 with the latest allbest and i'm itching to do some long exposure timelapse work when I go camping this weekend.  I've used the Ultra Intervelometer scripts and another one i've forgotten the name of that uses the 'print' button to turn off the LCD between shots.  I found that after the sun was almost down, the maximum exposure the camera was allowing was 1 second, thereby underexposing.   I know the camera can do up to 15 seconds manually, but how do I get the scripts to work at times longer than 1 second while using autoexposure?

Thanks!

Well, that's exactly what my script is supposed to de :-)

you can try it, in its different incarnations :-)

1) old version, for sunsets only, works with standard build:
Timelapse with variable shutter speed
specifically, download the script here:
Timelapse with variable shutter speed

2) brand new version, works with the collaborative build:
Night-time time-lapse

have fun!
