Hi there!

Just try this software with my Ixus, it's unbelivable!

Found your website while searching about how to use remote capture with Ixus 700.

Could someone tel me if Remote capture works with ixus700_sd500-101b-0.9.9-958-full.zip here http://mighty-hoernsche.de/ (So what is the difference betwen a and b version).

I use window into Virtualbox (Host ubuntu).

-Without CHDK, I can activate USB canon and then download images with ZoomBrowser but cannot remote capture
-With CHDK, cannot see Canon into USB

Could someone confirm if remote capture works with CHDK into xp?

a and b is your camera firmware version (101b = firmware 1.00b).

Remote support ("Enable Remote") must be disabled in chdk (if enabled camera usb port is used to trigger camera).

AFAIK SD500 does not support native canon remote capture (according to PS-REC SDK).

Otherwise the is some experimental support via http://chdk.setepontos.com/index.php/topic,4338.msg56101.html#msg56101.

Thnaks. I thought Remote Control was Remote Capture... then I see the little icon with a remote and understand.

Tried without Remote Control, USB detection works, but Remote Capture is unable into CameraWindow Software. It's a pity. Is IXUS 700 is unable to do that or just a software issue?
