see SD card in camera as Windows drive/directory

Hello all ofyou,
I tried to see if this subject was there already, but it looks not to be. But perhaps I overlooked it.  If so, could you direct me to it?

I just want to see the SD card of my Canon camera A530 as a drive in Windows (like my Fujifilm camera is presented, etc.). That would make it easier to up/download raw files, scripts, etc to and from the camera. I now use a card reader, but that only reduces the lifetime of my card electrical contacts ;)
I tried to find Canon drivers and just remove them (and then perhaps Windows sees the card through the USB again as a normal drive, but could not see. I could of course remove all canon software, is that the solution or something less dramatic that removes only the specific driver part?

Let me know.

All the best,

Offline whim

Try reading here: FAQ - CHDK Wiki

but as an abstract: Canon has done it's best to make this impossible....
