I was hoping to see some development with this as well. Whatever work you can do on it is appreciated. I wish I knew what I was doing/had the time to try this myself.

Hi all!

If the CHDK for the Ixus 90is is out, can I also use it with my Ixus 85is ?
As far as I know, the only difference between these two models is the screen size (and the 90is not having a view finder)
... am I right with this?

No, sadly not.
CHDK must be ported for every camera model and firmware.

Yes, but couldn't it be, because the 85is and 90is are 100% identical (except the screen size) they have the same firmware.

I don't think the firmware is different. What should be the difference if only the screen size of the cameras differs. Also the resolution of the screens is the same.

Anyway. As soon as something is out for the 90is - I will check it with my 85is and report.
I'm positively looking forward that it will work.
... otherwise I would have to sell my 85is and get a 90is :-)
It would be worth just for the RAW feature. Because also in highest quality mode, there is a JPEG compression highly noticeable if you zoom in (on the PC)

Can't wait too! I got an IXUS 90IS for Christmas and really want to use the features CHDK offers! Please keep us informed for any updates. Thanks for your work on this!
