strange, since the DISKBOOT.BIN should have at least booted since the original poster said it at least booted then.

maybe it's because I'm using his older code with the newer CHDK.

I could start a very very slow process of posting an image here, and have you guys test it, but since I needed about 30 iterations on the ixus85, I expect we'd need something like that here too.

That said, a different approach could be to take the ixus85 code I have now and to update the variables to match the ixus90 dump. Maybe I will try that some time soon. (I have 2x 40 minute daily commute for this kind of stuff :)

I would appreciate this very much.
Just let me know if there is something i can do.
Can you explain where those iterations are? May be i can try them myself.

The iterations are in iteratively adding/removing parts of the modified ARM assembler code and seeing when it crashes. This is not really simple unless you are knowledgable in ARM assembly.

I know about programming, but not much about ARM assembly.
At least i'd be willing to test your blind-try-firmwares ;-)

@sharky:

I guess it would help if you could get your hands on the IXUS90.

Maybe someone near you (from this forum) could lend you the Cam.
Otherwise I could lend you mine, cause it is just me "always with me" cam. My primary is a Canon 40D.

Thought I am snowboarding from 07.02.2009 to 12.05.2009 where this cam comes in handy, I could lend you mine when I am back.

If you really wanna do this for us, this is how I could help. Let me know.

Just send it back with a working CHDK  :xmas

kind regards
blubbi

Let me have a bash at getting it to work this way first.

If that fails I'll need someone to get me a cam, yeah.

let's see where this goes first

by the way, you're going snowboarding for 3 MONTHS ??

Here is another try

I updated the loader code, which is now almost identical to my (working) ixus85 loader.

I also made some changes that bring the code into line with some newer CHDK stuff.

It should now blink the GREEN LED twice, then boot into the standard canon OS (if you're lucky)

Arrgs :-) No sadly not...  just 7 days :-( Work is not waiting

(mmh in fact, if my simulation setups were working right now I could let the cluster run for 3 Month and check the tons of trajectories when I am back from snowboarding :-) ... okay just dreaming...

Now lets test your new bin.
