Just got my sd790 and testes the newly relase, unfortunaly optical zoom is not working, hope someone port this in the future :D

@ jung1ee: try it and you will see. afaik, quite a lot of stuff should be working, tho.
@ pacote-san: i guess you mean optical zoom in videos, right?

Yep :D

Changing shutter speed didnt affect anything for that matter :( It was the feature i wanted to use the most...

Motion detection script worked like a charm, but i was looking to change the shutter speed...

If you need a tester (one that can test new features or try outs at least once a day) you can count on me

PS: the camera whell is not working using CHDK

yes, as i said before, the port is not in a very good shape. i hate repeating myself, but really: if a developer does not own this camera, why would he be motivated to spend a lot of time on improving it's port...?

I tried using shutter speed and i cant really know how fast it can go... on the LCD it only appears 1/1500 even if i choose 1/64000

Today i will do more tests and i agree with you... but it would be nice to have a full port of CHDK for this cam  :(

   Yes the new build version can't zoom while in video record mode...   I hope the CHDK can fix it!    :xmas

If someone have this distrib, share it pls.    I gonna have a long trip, this cannon improvement  will make the trip nice and bright  with games and books  ::)
