I got these two at a local historic site in my area. (with permission of course)
The first one is a 65 second exposure, and the second is ~40 seconds.
Both were taken around at ISO100 with NR turned on.

this one was taken from my house...at 2200 hrs at night..its amazing with 65 secs...ISO 80..used EXiftoolsGUI to nodify the exposure time

Who knew that such low-noise, long-exposure images were locked away in these cameras. But I have found that I get even less noise with NR turned off, and then doing my own dark-frame subtraction. Not always convenient to do though. But it's worth keeping in mind if you really need the utmost out of that small sensor.

I grew up on film, so I have no problems accepting noisy/grainy ISO400 media (Ektachrome 400 anyone?). Even using ISO200 film at times was pushing it for acceptable grain. ISO400 was only used when no other methods would work. ISO800 film? Well, that was only for dire emergencies or when grain would add a nice special effect. So for me to find ways to use old techniques and attain the very same quality is no problem.

thanks for that .. just not sure what it does ... after reading still a little confused ... but i might come back later ... i might get it later what it does !!!

I was having some trouble figuring out where to download the allbest build. But I got it installed and running. Just need to figure out what to do with hot pixels with 65 second exposures :-P

I did the same thing on my SD1000. It seems to be more like 60 seconds on mine though. They both are ISO 800.

The first one was taken on 1/22/2008 1:40 AM.
The second one was taken on 1/22/2008 7:31 PM.
Both were full moon situations.
It snowed that day and it was overcast on the second one.
