CHDK for PowerShot A580

CHDK for PowerShot A580

Hi, I recently purchased a Canon PowerShot A580.

I could not find a CHDK for the model. Can I use the one available of A570 or any other that will work with my A580?

No. CHDK builds only work on the very specific models and their specific firmware versions which have been ported. I believe we didn't even have a firmware dump of any version of a580 until yesterday:

Now that one exists, there's more hope that someone will one day work on a port. Go ahead if you're able.

Thanks for the reply. Its good to know that a dump for the A580 exists now.

Wish I was that smart to port it.....I will wait till someone does though.

I also want the CHDK on my A580.
