Shutter override via script

I was wondering if it would be possible to override the shutter speed "on the fly" for a simulated bulb mode, within limits of the camera of course. a long while back i had a dimage z1 that had its own version of bulb mode (30 secs), basically you pressed the shutter and it started recording, pressed it again to stop, or it would auto stop if it reached the limits of the 30 second mark.

am hoping to achieve something similar with an a560, ie: press shutter to start and it goes until you press shutter again or it hits the 64 or so second mark; or press and hold shutter have it capture until you release, or until the limit has been reached.

have tried searching and doing a few scripts, but no real luck as of yet.

As far as I know, that's not currently possible. Someone (dataghost or ewavr probably) did manage to control the shutter freely during exposure a few months ago for their camera, but I think nobody's developed that further.
