Help CHDK loads but doesnt appear to work

Hello

I have canon poweshot SD 950 IS im running CHDK ixus960_sd950-100d-0.3.9-491-full

It loads fine and navigates fine and shows the changes i have made in the menus....

But when I take pictures it doesnt look like the changes i have selected are actually doing anything to the camera. judging by the grainy photos it doesnt look like its using the ISO 50 I picked. Nor does the shutter speed change no matter how crazy of a number I add 1/100k or 5 sec it feels like its using what it thinks it should like 1/500...(im not able to screw up photos or make them better)

I have the cam set to manual mode and in the extra photo operations disable overrides is set to off.

I have looked at the CHDK manual and read some of it...

Any ideas?

I have the same problem with my SD 750. I haven't been able to find a solution either.

Have you guys seen Graystars's user guide CHDK guide pdf - CHDK Wiki
Look on page 13 for info on the 'Overrides' menu and check if you haven't missed anything ...

I just looked there for it, but there doesn't seem to be anything about enabling/disabling the overrides.
The pictures from the guide show less options than the build I'm using (which is 0.8.9-625).
