Auto focus button assignment in Live View

Is there a chance to *fix* the auto focus button assignment in LiveView mode?

Currently you have to push AF-On to autofocus before the shutter release button pushed. (At Olympus this is the default.)

I think that many 40D owner dream about a firmware hack that fixes this "feature" ;-)

with the holidays coming in faster than you can say who framed roger rabbit, i'm pretty sure dataghost is still a tad weary from all the partying and stuff. who knows - come december 25, we might see a link to a firmware file in this thread... keep on dreaming ditch. you have a better chance winning lotto. lol

seriously though, quality work demands time. i am just as excited as y'all but it will come when it comes.

Hello guys,
a firmware version with microfocus adjustment will be a great thing.

In the meanwhile you can try focus adjustment with...a scewdriver.

Hi,
It's now been 3 months since the first post... And nothing new...
I am more and more afraid that nothing will ever be published.

Why not give what you have and let other people work on it ?
If you're really interested in helping the vast community of EOS DSL-R owners, you shouldn't just keep your prototype to yourself...
Maybe you're the only one capable of making this a real thing, but I'm sure others are really good programmers and could help !

And even if what you've already done is hard to use, if you've successfully published a video I'm sure this could interest a lot of people...
