Faster shutter speed with Motion Detection

Hi all,
I've taken lightning photos with fudgeys script, but I've noticed that the average shutter speed was 1/8 of a second.  I've also done tests where I wave my hand in front of the camera, and it takes a picture, but the shutter speed to slow and my hands either a blur or else not there; being around 1/8-1/12 of a second.  So how can I make this like 1/200 of a second, etc...
thanks for any help

Use exposure overrides from CHDK menus to set ISO higher, Av wider and Tv faster.

MD will still use autoexposure (it needs a bright image on the LCD during detection), but CHDK will override exposure once MD shoots.

Ok, did that, thanks.  I was able to get decent shots up to about 1/200 of a second.  I'm still not exactly sure how to use the ISO overrides.
