Came across your March post only just now.
I too recently bought a Nikon V1 and have taken some 1 sec bursts of RAW. I found like you Resolve does not see the full res clips of DNG files in a folder although it does see it as a clip. As Resolve supports CinemaDNG, it looks for the first image in each file and as you point out, it finds the thumbnail.
Perhaps you have by now sold your V1 and I have some thoughts of doing so myself but not yet decided.
I ignored Adobe DNG Converter and used the Nikon ViewNX software to convert each Raw NEF frame into a 16bit TIFF and joy, Resolve sees a folder of sequential images as full resolution clip.
I found this allowed me to colour and render output producing great results.
If I didn't zoom in a bit with Resolve Colour Tab, the sharpness was not quite as good on the final 720p rendered output suitable for Vimeo, and there were black bars left at each side no doubt because of the native res of the V1 sensor.
I still don't know what the problem was. I'm doubtful that the fault lies with Resolve as it is such a professional tool, so maybe another factor involved here, like too great a downsize.
I have since found out youtube allows much greater resolution, so might try that route next.
I have a pre-order for the BM Pocket Cinema camera, and now getting distracted by the Magic lantern hack on the CAnon 5d iii and likely coming 6D. If the 650d and new 7d ii get this ability I might also be interested, but the 600d does not have the processing ability to handle a high enough resolution to be of great interest to me.
