i think people here will help when you have created 10 topics of the same content. it's known as the "10 topic forum help policy".

oh, i was joking - it's not. so you created a topic twice. then edited your second topic with "deleted, dupliacted entry" only to create just another topic with the same content - AGAIN?

i was the one merging your topics. i am just moderating this forum, i cannot help you with that question you have. normally i dont really comment my actions i undertake in my job as a mod, but this time i just cant help it.

1" is probably 1 second. If correct exposure is 2 ms (1/500 s), that will most definitely give you a white image.

As to why you're getting that, sounds like a bug... Could this be similar or even related to the infamous "set_tv96_direct 0" scripting bug? Can't remember its details now.

Is this repeatable (does it happen always if you start with Tv 1/500)?
Does it ever happen using any other base Tv?

I've got to do some more experimenting to see if it occurs with starting values other than 1/500. 

In all 4 cases that the problem occurred, the "base" Tv was 1 second (which was not the Tv that was set in the camera) and the surrounding Tv's were 1/318 and 1/807.

 make sure that your override shutter speed factor value is set to 0, if it's set to 1 this will take a 1" photo, you can always check the clear override values on start up option also to return everything to normal everytime you start up the camera.
