What is the maximum memory card size the Canon Isux 860 can handle?

Since Ixus 860 IS supports SDHC, max card size is 32 GB

For sure?

I emailed canon and they said it only supports 4 GB.
Then I found some pages online saying it supports 8 GB.
I called canon and they said it supports 2 GB+.

I'm thinking Ixus 860 should support up to 32 GB per SDHC standard.
But I'm confused :)

Any SDHC compatible device should be able to deal with all cards that follow it's specs ...
I don't think Canon could get away with claiming SD, SDHC & MMC compatibility if it doesn't
(i checked here: http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/SD870IS)

I'm gonna order a 16 GB card and hope the earth doesn't explode.
