Hello ewavr,
first of all, thanks for your interest,
I did some tests with CHDK-g9-100g-0.8.10.zip:

I) standard video mode (640x480):

- Quality controls [Bitrate] &  [Quality] are working
- optical zoom works (up & down) untill it reaches 6x, but after the digital zoom comes  in use (after 6x) optical zoom works no more
 - AF key doesn't work

I-A) Video Mode [Bitrate], tested bitrate: 1, 2 & 3
optical zoom works, but the cam still crashes at about 20 sec of record with.

I-B) Video Mode [Quality]:
 - optical zoom works (up & down) untill it reaches 6x, but after the digital zoom comes  in use (after 6x) optical zoom works no more

 - Quality set to 1:  recorded a 2 min video
 - Quality set to 10:  recorded a 2 min video
 - Quality set to 15:  recorded a 2 min video
 - Quality set to 20:  the cam crashed after 2 min video,
 - Quality set to 25:  the cam crashed at about 25 sec
 - Quality set to 50:  the cam crashed at about 45 sec
 - Quality set to 75:  the cam crashed at about 35 sec
 - Quality set to 99:  the cam crashed at about 8 sec

II) g9 built-in time lapse, 1 sec:

 - Quality controls [Bitrate] &  [Quality] seems to work
 - optical zoom works (up & down), but after it reaches 6x the digital zoom doesn't comes in use (the optical still works)
 - AF key doesn't work
 - No crashes

bye

Quick fix: in stubs_min.S  change to:
DEF(movie_status, 0x5714)

brilliant. it's about time ewavr creates a paypal account for people to shed all their money onto him. :)

is not at all a bad idea, if only this good work could be reflected towards 100i, so everyone with a g9 could benefit.

i guess this has been done already under CHDK? will there be a good model to follow and get some effort flowing the 100i way?

I'm new to CHDK and wanted to get it going on my G9 1.00D

Unfortunately I read the Wiki page for the G9 which provides a nice link to the 1.00I firmware, and thought "yeah, why not?!" so I upgraded.

I then found out the hard way that there's no working CHDK for 1.00I, as I repeatedly tried to get it working with the G and D revision. :(

So, although there's no going back for me, I've made an edit to the Wiki with a big warning pointing this out - as I'm sure many other people will have made the same mistake, and we should avoid others falling into the same trap.

If a port of CHDK for 1.00I could be made I'm sure a lot of people would be very grateful. I can't code for toffee but would be very happy to help out with testing or file hosting services.

Thanks and keep up the great work folks.
